The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China has approved the “Uniform Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures” GB50068-2018, which will be implemented from April 1, 2019. Among them, Articles 3.2.1 and 3.3.2 are mandatory provisions and must be strictly enforced.
The changes brought by the new standard are：
1，The building is safer, Newly bought homes are safer.
The design of the earthquake has been increased, and the seismic design of the building structure has been added; the design concept of “small earthquake is not bad, medium earthquake can be repaired, and large earthquake does not fall” is introduced. Starting from April 1st, buying a new standard designed new housing is equivalent to an additional RMB 1 million insurance!
2，Buildings are becoming more expensive, and the cost of new homes is rising.
The rule of constant load partial factor is 1.35 when the control is applied by constant load; the constant load partial coefficient is adjusted from 1.2 to 1.3; the live load partial coefficient is adjusted from 1.4 to 1.5.
Load design is the foundation of building structure design, equivalent to the skeleton of a building. The most direct effect of the load factor is that the construction cost has increased!
It is estimated that the ordinary residential steel content will increase by about 5%; the underground garage steel content will increase by about 10%. Construction costs will increase by several hundred thousand RMB.
3，The safety of some of the coefficients in the new standard is close to the standards of the United States and Europe.
In general, the increase in the load segmentation factor has a great impact on the home! It can improve the safety and durability of buildings. But for developers and owners, there will be an increase in construction costs.
Although there are still some gaps between the design standards and the international mainstream standards, at least China is also making progress and is close to international standards. As China's labor costs continue to rise, material costs are gradually increasing, and the price advantage of China's export of steel buildings will gradually shrink. However, the price of Chinese companies that have been designed and manufactured using international standards has little effect.
