Recently, the reporter learned from the Cultural Living Room Project Department of Hohhot City, the Northwest Corporation of China Construction Eighth Bureau. After two months of winter work stoppage, the project was officially resumed at the end of February. At present, the construction has been fully carried out and the progress has been smooth. The project is expected to complete the capping of all main steel structures by the end of 2019.

Hohhot City Cultural Living Room Project is also known as “The Eye of Qingcheng”. It is located in the east of Bayantara Road in Saihan District, Hohhot, on the north side of Baoquanzhuang Street, south of Inner Mongolia Party School, with a land area of 141,070 square meters and a total construction area of 295,000 square meters. Meters, the floor area of the building is about 171,000 square meters, the underground floor area is 124,000 square meters, and the ground floor is a layer. The floor is partially sandwiched and the ground floor is five floors.

According to reports, the "Eye of the Qingcheng" will be integrated into the library, archives, folk culture exhibition hall, Fangzhiguan, ethnic youth palace, performing arts center, public gallery, related supporting services and parking garage. The whole building forms a complete ring volume, showing the history and culture of Inner Mongolia and humanities and sciences in front of the public, forming a very bright visual focus on the map. Upon completion, it will become a super-large tourism culture complex in Hohhot. Providing a good open cultural place for local residents and providing ideal hardware conditions for spiritual civilization construction.
Part of the steel structure installation at the construction site has been completed
According to Yu Zhiguo, chief engineer of the cultural living room project of Hohhot City, the northwestern company of China Construction Eighth Bureau, since the start of construction on September 30, 2017, the construction of the project has progressed smoothly. At present, the installation of the second-story steel structure of the library has been completed; the archives and the folk culture hall have completed the installation of the three-story steel structure on the ground; the Fangzhiguan, the National Youth Palace, and the Performing Arts Center are about to carry out foundation and infrastructure construction.
“This project is currently the largest single public building in Inner Mongolia, and the construction is difficult. In order to ensure the construction period and quality, we have developed a smart site large data center for management, AR, VR experience zone, and also applied on-site recyclability. New technologies and processes for shaping protective barriers and modular steel pavements that can be used in turn. According to the current project schedule, the main structural steel structure capping of this project will be completed before the end of this year." Yu Zhiguo told reporters.
