  1. Add a small column on the upper chord node

The structure of the small column is relatively simple, and it is a method of finding slopes that is currently used more frequently. When this method is adopted, for areas with seismic requirements, if the slope finding method must be adopted for small columns, the seismic and stability of the small columns should be checked.

  1. The whole space frameis arched

The method of arching the entire space frame to form the roof drainage slope is to keep the upper and lower chords of the space frame parallel, and only raise the entire space frame in the middle of the span. Suitable for double-slope drainage. This approach has good seismic performance.

  1. Changethe height of the space frame structure

In order to form the roof drainage slope, the method of changing the height of the space frame can be adopted, that is, the height of the space frame is increased in the middle of the span, so that the upper chord is formed with a slope, and the lower chord is still parallel to the ground. Due to the increase in the mid-span height, the internal force of the upper and lower chords of the space frame can be reduced, so that the internal force of the space frame tends to be uniform, but the types of upper chords and webs increase, which brings certain difficulties to the production of the space frame. This approach will also improve the seismic performance of the space frame.

In order to ensure that no water enters or collects on the top of the building, the drainage structure design of the building must be fully considered at the beginning of the design of the steel space frame structure.
