There are many different forms of nodes in steel structure reticulated shells, some of the common ones include:

Rigid Nodes

Rigid Nodes: In a rigid node, the supporting rods of the reticulated shell will be directly connected to the node by welding, bolting, or other methods to form a rigid connection that allows the rods at the node to withstand large forces and maintain stability.

Flexible nodes

Flexible nodes: flexible nodes allow a certain degree of relative displacement and rotation of the rods, this node is usually realized through the structure of the ball or bearing, can reduce the stress concentration at the node, and increase the overall flexibility of the structure.

Hybrid nodes

Hybrid nodes: Hybrid nodes combine the characteristics of rigid and flexible nodes, which can provide a certain degree of rigidity of the connection, but also allow a certain degree of displacement and rotation to meet the different stress requirements of the structure.

Suspension nodes

Suspension nodes: In suspension nodes, the supporting members of the reticulated shell are usually connected to the nodes by suspension cables or steel cables, and this node form is commonly used in suspension structures or suspension bridge girders, which can effectively withstand tensile forces.
